Let me take you to Cousins Cuban Cafe, in Black Mountain, NC

Located just 20 minutes away from downtown Asheville, Cousins Cuban Cafe is a restaurant you have to try, if you are visiting WNC.
The place is very charming, and right away I felt like I was at one of my relatives house. The smell of the food and Cafe Cubano was a great indication this was going to be good. IT WAS GREAT!
It was 2:00PM when I arrived, and they close at 3:00PM, I asked, if it was ok for me to film the place, and they said yes( they knew I was coming to make this vlog, and we had set my visit for 2, because it was supposed to be slow at this time) Well, I’m not sure what happened, but the place got really busy while I was there. Regulars noticed I was filming, and told me right away that I was going to love this place. Well, I was told this before. In fact, John Atwater the owner of Mamacita’s Taqueria in Asheville told me I need it to come and try the Sandwich Cubano. THEY WERE NOT KIDDING.

I met Beatriz, the creative force behind Cousins Cuban Cafe.
Beatriz is without a doubt proud of her heritage and family’s history. This is very good for us, because she has decided to share her family recipes in this very charming cafe. I loved one of the walls where family pictures are hanging and create the feeling of having a little piece of Cuba in the mountains. LOVE THIS PLACE
I’M WITHOUT A DOUBT COMING BACK.

What did I have?
Cubanita Bowl, made with delicious rice, ham croquettes and plantains.
Now, what really blew my mind was the AWESOME CAFE CUBANO and the BOMBASTIC CUBAN SANDWICH.
Hell yeah, this place is one of those gems you don’t find every day, especially when we are talking about Cuban cuisine in WNC y’all!
